Motorola Edge 60 Fusion has made a giant leap in the mid-range smartphone market with the launch of the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. With an initial price point of ₹22,999 for the 8GB RAM model and ₹24,999 for the 12GB RAM model, it appears to strike the right chord between design, performance, and AI innovation. But is it value for money? Let’s find out.
Premium Design with a Familiar Touch
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion follows the brand’s well-worn formula, delivering an all-curve body, thin bezels, and light construction at 180g. It feels comfortable and ideal for extended use, particularly by the average gamer or content consumer. While it retains much of its predecessor from the back, the triple-ring aesthetic offers a visual twist though one of the rings is a 3-in-1 light sensor rather than a camera. This sensor adjusts real-time light sensitivity dynamically for better image capture.
The vegan leather back panel adds a soft, matte texture, but it’s also a dust and smudge magnet. Motorola Edge 60 Fusion ongoing collaboration with PANTONE also adds a unique flair with the Amazonite color scheme, giving the phone a premium, artistic touch.
Immersive Display but Audio Falls Short
The 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display is a curved, colourful display certified PANTONE accurate colours. There’s a refresh rate of 120Hz, with ideal scrolling and video watching. With Smart Water Touch 3.0 technology and an anti-fingerprint protective coating, the screen is efficient even when there is some dampness on fingertips. IP68 and IP69 certification shows it is capable of facing water and dust without trouble.
But the sound output is disappointing. Despite Dolby Atmos, the speakers are unable to deliver the punch that one would like in this category. Even at full volume, it is not able to equal the loudness and clarity of the competition available at a lower price.
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion AI Features
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is distinguished by its Gen AI toolkit. A double tap on the rear ‘M’ logo brings features like Update Me, Take Notes Magic Canvas, and Ask or Search through Moto AI. The AI tools are astonishingly functional, especially the Magic Canvas, which creates AI-generated images from text inputs. Voice-to-text functionality was also impressive, with accurate translations of Hindi to English. These AI capabilities are not gimmies they’re real productivity and creative value, and they give the phone a strong selling point in the saturated mid-range marketplace.
Good Camera with AI Enhancements
The 50MP + 13MP dual camera at the back is inherited from the Edge 50 Fusion. While it’s nice during the day and uses AI to fill in brightness during the night, it’s no camera behemoth. The front camera is average, but image softening was visible in some of the pictures. The Micro mode, however, is great for capturing high-res close-up images.
Capable Performance with Minor Flaws
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 and up to 12GB of RAM, the phone handles multitasking well. But gamers will be disappointed. Touch sensitivity is occasionally slow, and gaming performance, especially with games such as BGMI, isn’t quite as silky smooth as rivals. Built on Android 15, Hello UI-based software experience is clean and bloat-free. Three OS updates and four years of security patches are promised by Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, a decent assurance.
Battery That Lasts, But Charging Takes Time
The 5,500 mAh battery has a day’s average use lifespan. It is 68W fast charging, charging in about 90 minutes from zero. Not the fastest in its class, it’s acceptable given the capacity and durability.
A Wise Option for Everyday Users
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is not a gaming phone, but it offers a general experience for productivity and day-to-day usage. Its build quality, screen, and AI capabilities make it a compelling option under ₹25,000. If a unique UI, smart features, and sufficient performance are on your priority list, this phone is worth considering.
